Inviting children into a creative therapeutic playspace opens opportunities for expression. Hard to say which comes first - the creative play, OR the verbal sharing...the blur comes into focus with, "Ellen, are you interested...can I tell you more?"

how sadness moves into happier times
"So that's what happened at recess today!" Together we create clay caricatures with complete abandon-only to discover that WOW! This is what my SADNESS looks like. I can SEE it, I can LOOK at it,- I can create new ideas to move out of that sadness. Life might look a bit happier for me.

Do I need to follow the crowd, and measure up to their expectations? Finding the ME, - and making that story richer.
what my thoughts are telling me
Sometimes I just want to put some of my thoughts in their rightful place, and tell them to get out of the way. Then I can make room for focusing on where I want to place myself.
